CROSS COUNTRY FIELD USE DISCLAIMER
Your safety is your own responsibility. We DO NOT accept liability for any accident, injury, illness, loss or damage to you, your pony/horse, your vehicle, your companions or your belongings whatsoever and howsoever caused.
In order to use the Cross Country field you agree that:-
You have the appropriate current public liability insurance.
All riders in the field will wear suitable footwear with defined heels and riding hats conforming to the current British quality standard for riding hats (correctly fastened). Please note that we do NOT allow Go Pros or other fixtures to riding hats.
In addition, all riders using the cross country jump fences should wear a body protector and a non-fixed peak riding hat.
Riders must use the course in a sensible manner compatible with their level of experience and ability. The XC fences are a minimum of 40 cm high and so you should be very comfortable jumping that in an arena before booking or using the course. Additionally, you should be confident that you will have full control of your pony/horse at all times. Please check the colour codes for your ability before you jump.
I agree that I will walk the course on horseback initially to familiarise myself with the current ground conditions and to make myself aware of any ditches, drains or other obstacles and will do this every time prior to using the course.
No dogs are allowed on the cross country course, whether on or off a lead.
No rider under 8 will be permitted to use the cross country course unless participating through Pony Club.
Riders under the age of 18 will not be permitted to use the cross country course, or go in the field, unless accompanied by an adult at all times (not just supervising from afar).
NO LONE RIDERS can use the cross country jumps at any time, regardless of age.
There must always be an additional adult with a working mobile phone in attendance when the course is in use. Therefore this means that when in groups of two or more at least one person will carry a working mobile phone.
All jumps should be jumped by one pony at a time (not abreast of each other). There will be one pairs fence and this can be jumped abreast of each other (the double dog kennel).
We will check the course each week to ensure that landing and take off areas are kept sound and that the course is in a good state of repair. However, you confirm that you will let us know immediately if you notice anything which requires review. All riders are required to report any broken/damaged jumps immediately.
You acknowledge that any damaged/broken jumps must be reported prior to the course being used and you will not jump these jumps.
All riders (parents/guardians of riders aged under 18) are required to sign a declaration prior to riding the field/course (this document). This confirms that you have read and fully understand the course rules noted here, and that you agree to abide by them.
I acknowledge the above, and confirm that I have read and understood this document and will abide by them. I acknowledge that my failure to comply will result in me being asked to leave the course, without refund, and future restrictions on use of the course.
